Brief History

the Islamic Educational Society was established in 1967, with 50 members, using a terraced house as a prayer hall and Madressa
in 1978 we moved to present location due to demolition of previous buildings
in 1984, premises next to the present building were purchased and the Masjid expanded to its present size
at present we have 500 pupils from the age of 5 within 20 classes with 16 Ustads and 4 Alimas
the present prayer hall accomoodates approx 600 people at one time
since 1995 the society has ran an Islamic School for Girls (Al-islah School) from year 7 to 11, which is run in the same class rooms as the Madressa
Quran and Tajweed classes are run weekends for both male and females who want to learn to read the Holy Quran in the correct manner
classes are also held for anyone who wishes to learn Arabic
